Moon Hollow Press publishes compendiums, anthologies, and chapbooks. Right now, we are accepting submissions for Grantswood, Emeraude, and Moon Hollow through Submittable, and we look forward to reading your fiction and poetry!
Files should be uploaded as .rtf files.
SIZE LIMIT: No more that 7000 words for prose and 100 lines for poetry.
Moon Hollow is the ongoing open call for submissions. We are currently accepting prose and poetry in line with the general submissions policy and the general publications policy.
Please note that items submitted for other calls may be offerred publication in this project if they are not accepted for one of the specific calls (thus, something submitted to but not appropriate for Flash Pan may be offerred publication in Moon Hollow.)
EMERAUDE accepts poetry and prose of interest to the historical recreation community. We focus specifically on the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc, and similar historical recreation groups. There are a lot of outlets for your research on cookery or fighting techniques, et cetera. EMERAUDE focuses on what is often called the Bardic Arts.
PROSE may be fiction, documentation to support the historical style of writing you are submitting, and creative nonfiction. Prose submissions should not exceed 7000 words in total--that is, a story of 3500 words and a supporting essay as documentation of 3500 words would reach the 7000 word limit.
POETRY may be in both historical styles and compatable styles, although we prefer historical styles. Poetry should not exceed 50 lines, and we will consider up to 5 poems.
Flash Pan focuses on rapid fire fiction of up to 750 words. Full submissions guidelines are at http://moonhollowpress.blogspot.com/2012/12/call-for-submissions-flash-pan.html. You should read them before submitting.
